There’s something really magical about drawing trees.. I don’t know whether it’s the shapes that attract me to them or just how them seem to wait and accept life as it comes to them. Either way, this tree on the left was inspired by a game I played called Braid. The game deals with a character’s struggle with love and the search for ‘the one’.
I guess I’ve always thought about the possibility and chance that the universe writes and molds a perfect mate for us… but some part of me also thinks that it’s seriously unlikely. I wish that wasn’t the case. I really hate the problems that families are facing these days with super high divorce rates…
There’s a difference between loving the feeling that you get from a person and loving the person.. the feeling is bound to wear off after a while and most of us think that this is the love (or ’spark’) going away…. but what if we’re wrong?
Loving is an action. It’s putting effort into making someone feel better. It’s work just like anything else it. So saying that it goes away just means that you’ve stopped trying.
Love doesn’t get delivered to you, it’s something that you send out to others.
Yours,
