Compass Facing Upside Down

She found her life was saved at birth
from a flyer saying what she was worth;

And on the banner was a name,
which of high power this man became.

Seven years and the little girl,
was giving her umbrella a twirl,

When above her head she heard a sound
of something headed for the ground.

An ample bird with something dropping,
fell so fast and wasn’t stopping.

And as the spots came into sight,
she tried to run with all her might.

For her friend was not passing daily alms,
but rather some bags of bombs.

And little to her big surprise,
they didn’t hear her tiny cries.

Fear passed quick for this little girl;
who wasn’t given chance to unfurl,

And on the plate of the melting fire,
was the same name that saved her on the flyer…

      …and if we’re always thinking “pro-life,” we don’t even have to worry about the question “war or no war?” – it’ll already be answered. In the same way, let’s all think, “How can I love my neighbor as I do myself?” Then there will be so many more questions we don’t even have to ask.
