Night Terror

I had a ghastly nightmare..

I had killed someone and I couldn’t stop myself from doing so..

As the nightmare progressed, I realized I was in a war– a war that didn’t care what the people on the other side felt like.

A war much like every other war.

The nightmare continued and I had to run away from the people who frowned upon killing.

The people who tried their best to love in a seemingly loveless world.

I had to run away from myself.

What do you do when your biggest enemy is your desire?

Love,
J.Schay

Our desires are always our enemies when they disagree with those of the Father; that is, if we are trying to live as He made us to live. I would propose that the best way to defeat such desires is to distance oneself from them as much as possible. I think that involves keeping focus on God in fasting and prayer, refusing to indulge or place oneself in situations that amplify that desire’s strength.
