Spoken Brothers

“Oh Brother, I don’t know what to do! I tried to say to her things that wouldn’t and shouldn’t have gotten through. And my fear now is that it’s done when I really feel like it should have just begun.

Well, I came here to talk to you, because it’s unbearable to say that I’m the only one that knew about this load that’s on my back that, alone, I can’t attack.

I mean, how could anyone deny her with all the trouble that she could stir?

But I’m getting ahead of the tale because there’s so much evidence in the detail…

See, it really started when I left and became guilty of some sort of theft… I’ll never forget the hours home, because it was then that I knew that I was on my own. And, I think the hardest part was not being able to take part in a unity like I had because just being alone drove me mad.

So I’ve waited for some time, feeling like I’d committed a crime, and nothing has yet been fixed– just the same emotions that seem to be mixed..”

“Well, my friend, it’ll never be possible to forget, and it’s useless to live in regret, so my consolation to you is that you’re not among the few.

We all feel the same– that we’re the ones to blame. And we never feel like we’ve done the time for the unbelievable crime.

Can’t you see we’re all fugitives? Just look at the way we live! It’s a shame to say we’ve gone above when we can’t do the simple act of love!

But there’s hope, because deep inside you know you don’t want to hide. And it’s possible to change even though you’ll feel strange..

I guess the solution to your problem is to love, and be ready to take a shove, because there will be those who don’t think it’s right and they’ll want to pick a fight. And as long as you understand the meaning to what you do, you’ll never live without a clue.

You’ll be the light that brightens the night– a beacon of white in simple plain sight.

It’ll be this that will change her mind; a love that is so endlessly intertwined.”
